About Us

STRIVE (Society of Triangle Volleyball Enthusiasts) is a registered (501 (c)(3)) Non-profit organization established in 2016. STRIVE’s vision is to "Promote the well being of our community by providing them an opportunity to actively engage in sporting events".

We started the STRIVE journey by organizing volleyball tournaments in the RTP area and with the continual support and encouragement from the participants molded ourselves us to be one of the biggest organization in the Triangle area (RTP) actively conducting Volleyball and Throwball leagues, tournaments throughout the year.

Over the past five years we have organized several Volleyball and Throwball tournaments, leagues (usually spans for 3 months during Spring and Fall season) in various terrains like Sand and Grass.

Our BUMP N JUMP FEST Volleyball tourney (one day tournament) is our Annual featured event. Our Tourney's are fun filled events for the entire family engaging close to 250 participants/guests for the Volleyball tourneys and around 125 participants/guests for the Throwball tourneys. In addition to the competitive games held during the tourney, we also offer sumptuous food which will keep their souls happy.

Our Team

Shreedev Nair (Shree)

Shree is a long term resident in the RTP area and has been playing volleyball for over 25 years (outside hitter/setter). The southpaw has participated in multiple tourneys and led his team to victory on numerous occasions (including the Charlotte grass tourney, Town of Cary Indoor leagues, GCKA tourneys and our first ever STRIVE Bump N Jump tournament). His recent inclination is towards playing sand volleyball, however enjoys the grass and indoor format as well. He developed the 'Cobra' move with his leftie and can attack any time. He has a strong focus on fitness and enjoys playing soccer, biking and hiking. He is a very organized person and a fun fact about him is that he has lived in three major continents.

Bejoy Kochuparambil (Koch/Coach)

Bejoy has been living in the RTP area for over 15 years now and has been playing volleyball (outside hitter/libero) extensively all through stay. He has participated in numerous volleyball tourneys (KLAP, Katy PL, AVP tournaments) and has been recognized as the 'Best Defense/digger' on mulitple occasions. He currently is actively playing in the Cary Men's Open league. His recent crush is on the Beach volleyball (2*2) tourney's. He is a big time foodie (experiments cooking and tasting various cuisines), avid Tennis player and interested in Aviation documentaries. He is multilingual (5 languages) and is eager to learn more.

Srikanth Kumar Maddukuri (Srikanth/Sikka)

Srikanth has been living in the RTP area for about 8 years and has been a sensation in volleyball in the past few years. The tall lanky middle/outside hitter has played in multiple tourneys (including AVP tourneys, KLAP, YHC, SEWA) and won numerous accolades for his performance and aptly received the 'Best Spiker' recognition multiple times. He is also an enthusiastic cricketer, biker, motorcylist and enjoys watching movies and TV series. He is the designated driver for all the out of state tourneys.

Gopikrishna Pinnaka (Gopi/Gopu)

Gopi has been in the RTP area for a while and has been playing volleyball from his childhood. The ambidextrous outside hitter/spiker is definitely one of the prominent players to look out for. He has competed in numerous tourneys (including KLAP, Katy PL, Charlotte, TATA) and judged as the 'Best Spiker' on various occasions. He prefers playing Indoor and grass formats, but is equally deadly in sand as well. He is a Non-GMO farmer who invests a lot of time in growing and picking up healthy food. He has every move on the dance floor.

Ganesh Narasingam (Ganesh/GN)

Ganesh has been living in the RTP area for over 5 years and has been playing volleyball for the past decade. He has played (Setter/Outside hitter) alongside with the other STRIVE team members in multiple tourneys (including KLAP, RTPVL, SMS, RVC) and been a part of the winning team. He has been recognized for his 'Setting' skills on various occasions. He is very passionate about sports and does mulitple sports including Cricket, Tennis, Soccer, Badminton and Table Tennis. He enjoys playing board games with his kids.
