Round-robin games and Ranking:
All the teams will be divided into two groups:
Group A – 4 teams
Group B – 5 teams
Each team will play round-robin league games with all the other teams in the same group (single set of 21 pts cap at 23).
All teams will be ranked in respective group, based on number of wins followed by number of winning points. If two teams have same number of wins and same winning points, then the top team will be decided by a short qualifier game (11 points, single set cap at 13).
Rank 5 team from Group B will be eliminated.
Game Bracket:
After league games are completed, all teams are ranked, and game bracket for remainder of the games, up to Finals, will be decided based on these rankings as explained in following sections:

QFs:
Group A 4 teams (Rank 1, 2, 3, 4) will play Quarter final games with Group B- 4 teams (Rank 1, 2, 3, 4) (single set of 25 pts cap at 27). Winners will advance to Semis. Losers will be eliminated.
QF1 : A1 vs B4
QF2 : A2 vs B3
QF3 : A3 vs B2
QF4 : A4 vs B1
SF Game:
Teams qualified for SFs, will play 'Best of 3 sets' format games (15, 15, 15) – cap at 17. Winners will advance to Finals. Losers will be eliminated.
SF1 : QF1 Winner vs QF3 Winner
SF2 : QF2 Winner vs QF4 Winner
Final:
Teams qualified for Finals, will play 'Best of 3 sets' format games (15, 15, 15) – cap at 17
Final : SF1 Winner vs SF2 Winner
Note: All 21- points games cap at 23, all 21-points games cap at 23 and all 15-points games cap at 17
1. A Throwball team can have a maximum of 8 players, but no more than 6 players on court and
no less than 4 players on the court at any given time.
2. No person may play on more than one team.
3. Should be at least 18 years old and should individually consent to abide by the tournament
rules as well as the Throwball game rules.
1. A maximum of 2 substitutes and 2 timeouts (1 minute each) will be allowed per team, per set.
2. Substitution will be a ‘Player to Player’ substitution any time when the ball is dead, i.e. the same player will substitute
with the other player for the entire set. She won’t be allowed to substitute for any other player on the team, except in case of a player being injured.
1.The right to choose the initial order of serving, receiving and ends shall be decided by toss and the winner may choose to serve, or to receive first, or to start at a end.
2. Players are expected to report at the court at least 5 minutes prior to the game. If the players fail to show up the match will be cancelled and the opponent will be declared a winner.
3. Any ball after catching should be released within 3 seconds.
4. During the service, the ball cannot touch the net.
5. During catching or releasing, the ball should not touch any part of the body except the palm.
6. Players cannot catch the ball with the assistance of body or legs.
7. Double touch (juggling the ball in both hands) is not allowed while receiving the service ball.
8. The ball should be served without touching/crossing the service line with single hand.
9. Players cannot touch the net during the play but the ball can touch the Net.
10. The ball should not touch the antenna.
11. A player can jump when throwing the ball or while serving.
12. A player while releasing the ball cannot rotate (360 degrees) or turn around to throw the ball.
13. 2 players cannot catch the ball simultaneously.
14. Any ball falling on the side-line or end-line is a good ball.
15. Shifting the ball from right to left or left to right or deliberately pushing is not permitted.
16. Upon service break, players on the serve-winning team should rotate one position clockwise.
17. During the play or rally, players cannot cross the net or obstruct the opponent team.
18. The ball must be thrown by the player from the shoulder and above level only. Player receiving the ball at below overhead level should bring it to shoulder level and throw in course of one action only.
19. A player can’t take more than one step in a position. A player after receiving the ball is permitted only one step forward or backward after the jump.
20. At the time of service the remaining players of both the team should stand on their own position.
21. Change of position of players is allowed once the ball is released from the servicing player hand. But the player should occupy their original position once the rally is completed.
22.The team captain is responsible for discipline and proper conduct of team members, and is the only player who may address the referees and shall be the spokesperson of her team.
23. STRIVE Tournament organizers reserve the right to expel any player for indecent gestures, physical altercations of any kind, player abuse, dangerous play or misconduct.
